Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Dubai Maritime City Authority (DMCA), the government authority charged with regulating, coordinating and supervising all aspects of Dubai’s maritime sector, recently welcomed his excellency Mr Muraleedharan K, Deputy Consul General of India in Dubai, to its headquarter office in Dubai. The official paid the Authority a visit to mainly discuss future maritime cooperation and opportunities to further reinforce their strong partnership.

During the meeting, both parties agreed to establish and maintain an effective channel of communication for better and faster coordination. They also reached mutual understanding with regard to addressing crew issues and other matters relating to Dubai’s anchorage regulations.  The visit also gave the Indian government official an opportunity to express his gratitude to the DMCA for the high-level services it extends to Indian vessels and their crewmembers in Dubai waters.

His excellency Mr Muraleedharan K said: “My visit to DMCA resulted in meaningful and productive discussions between me and its representatives. We are able to establish a more dynamic relationship following our meeting. I laud the Authority for their strategic initiatives to create a safe and sustainable maritime environment in Dubai. Through DMCA’s efforts, the local maritime sector is able to effectively respond to market changes and emerging regional and international trends. DMCA’s hard work is indeed worth emulating.”

For his part, Ali Al Daboos, Executive Director of Operations, DMCA, said: “Mr. Muraleedharan K’s visit to our office strongly symbolizes the continuing mutual support between us.
