Newly-formed company under MAG Group will host its first kids’ event at Children City

Clementree has announced that it has signed a contract with renowned kids’ channel, SpaceToon. The agreement sees the newly-formed MAG Group organisation as SpaceToon’s exclusive executor for their portfolio of events in the UAE, with the first activity being a two-week entertainment programme that takes place in Children City, Creek Park, Dubai, from March 27 until April 11.

“Clementree’s new partnership with SpaceToon is the perfect fit for both organisations,” said Joumana Al Gaddah, Managing Director, Clementree. “SpaceToon is one of the region’s most popular Arabic television channels and one that specialises in keeping the region’s children entertained with a high quality programme output that has an emphasis on animated shows. We are delighted to kick-off our new SpaceToon relationship with a dedicated event for all our junior fans in the region,” she added.

Clementree’s inaugural SpaceToon event at Children City will feature all the channel’s animated favourites, including Hamtaro the little hamster, Detective Conan and Strawberry Shortcake. Each character will star in their own theatre show, with the programme also including other fun activities to keep little ones occupied, such as interactive workshops, arts tuition, competitions and SpaceToon magazine giveaways. The 15 day-long event is expected to attract families for whom SpaceToon is a major part of their entertainment at home.

Based in Dubai, with services covering the entire GCC, Clementree is building its portfolio with exclusive relationships, including licensing partnerships with internationally-renowned cartoon brands, educational programmes and cultural and world entertainment shows and artists. Its ultimate aim is to become the foremost events management company that supports the children and family edutainment landscape in the region.

“Clementree is an educationally driven events management company established by a team of professionals who possess a huge level of expertise in hosting family entertainment activities. We are looking forward to working together with SpaceToon to bring their studio-based fun out into the community with interactive events that will set new benchmarks for creativity – the first being an exciting programme for children that takes place in Dubai’s fabulous Creek Park,” added Al Gaddah.

Commencing broadcasting in 2000, SpaceToon has its primary headquarter in Dubai. The company produces Spacetoon Kids TV, a children’s edutainment cartoon channel, which covers a wide range of cartoons and programmes sourced from extensive cartoon libraries. The channel is free-to-air satellite covering 22 countries and transmitting to over 230 million viewers in the Middle East and North Africa region. By dubbing its output into Arabic and localising the content, SpaceToon has been able to establish a strong presence in children’s programming in the Middle East, within a relatively short timeframe.

“SpaceToon believes in creating educational and recreational programmes for young viewers based on the principle that media is a primary source of data and knowledge,” said Mr. Fayez Al Sabbagh, Founder of Spacetoon and GNA Media Group. “We strive to facilitate learning through the use of an entertaining model and believe that putting knowledge into young minds is as important as putting as smile on young faces. We are delighted to be partnering with Clementree to further the concept and bring our unique brand of entertainment out of the living room and into the community,” he added.
