Splash & Swim at Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana

On May 15^th 2015, it will be an exciting day for all parents and children as Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana will be pleased to host its annual swimming competition by the sea waters of the Arabian Gulf. Children aged between 5 and 13 will have the chance to compete and showcase their swimming strokes and skills that they perfectly tailored over months of hard practice through the guidance of motivational instructors.

The competition will feature three strokes – freestyle, breaststroke and butterfly. Kids can swim 35 or 65 metres in each stroke, or the additional 100m butterfly and 300m freestyle. “I’m trying to raise the self-esteem and confidence for the kids and put them in the pressure of competition,” Anas Karkutli said, the swimming coach at Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana.

This swimming competition will be welcoming approximately 80 kids in the competition who are eager to compete between each other with the possibility of winning gold and silver medals. They will also have trained for months with the head swimming coach, Anas Karkutli, but the races are open to all outside swimmers as well.

Parents and kids will test their skills against the best in the region and will also have the chance to make new friends while splashing around in the pool and enjoying a sunny morning while having cool & exotic refreshments at Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana.
