The Ajman Palace Hotel Appoints Top Executive Chef
The Ajman Palace Hotel has appointed Chef Thomas Fischer as the Executive Chef. A native of Switzerland, Chef Thomas brings with him over two decades of professional experience working in leading five-star properties. Strengthening the hotel’s culinary team that has been winning accolades from diners, he will prove to be an invaluable asset for the hotel.

A native of Switzerland, Chef Thomas brings with him over two decades of professional experience working in leading five-star properties. Strengthening the hotel’s culinary team that has been winning accolades from diners, he will prove to be an invaluable asset for the hotel.
Ferghal Purcell, General Manager of The Ajman Palace Hotel, welcomed Chef Thomas and said that he is a great addition to the team. “His extensive experience of working with various five star hotels in the Arab world as well as the European countries will help our culinary team better understand the preference of our guests who come from various parts of the world and meet their expectations.”
After finishing apprenticeship at Thurgauerh of Hotel and Congress Centre, Switzerland, Chef Thomas worked with several five-star hotels in different parts of the country including the Beau Rivage Palace in Lausanne and Suvretta House in St. Moritz.
His first job assignment abroad was at the Kensington Hilton in London, from where he moved to the island of Bermuda at the Southampton Princess Hotel (now a Fairmont Hotel). Later, he went back to Europe and worked with Hilton in Munich, Germany, and in Salzburg, Austria at the Hotel Sacher.
He arrived in Dubai in 1999 and joined the Burj Al Arab in the Seafood restaurant Al Mahara. His quest for a more fulfilling career took him to places like the Dorchester Hotel at Park Lane, London; Corinthia Nevsky Palace Hotel in St. Petersburg, Russia; Kempinski Hotel in Aqaba, Jordan.
In between he also took a break to pursue higher studies and attended courses at Cornell University Hotel & Management School. Later, he also attended the Master Chef Programme in Austria.
