Faisal Al Nuaimi, ATDD General Manager, said the delegation to China is on its first visit to the state in a knock-door mission with the aim of exploring new out-bound markets to lure more visitors to Ajman which targets an annual number of five million visitors by 2021.
Over two days, Ajman delegation organized around 70 meetings with hospitality sector representatives and travel agents, in addition to about ten interviews with media outlets in the Chinese city of Guangzhou, including the official Guganzhou TV, according to Al Nuaimi.
Ajman hotels and travel agencies forged a number of contracts that would insure inflow of Chinese visitors to Ajman all over the year, he added.
Ajman’s delegation is expected to head Tuesday for Shanghai to hold a number of meetings with tourism industry representatives in the city.
The delegation includes representatives for a number of hotels, including Ajman Saray, Kempinski Ajman, the Ajman Palace, Fairmont Ajman, Ramada Beach, Ramada Hotel and Suites and the Crown Palace, in addition to a number of travel agencies.
Last week, Sheikh Abdulaziz Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD), had approved ATDD’s plan for a roadshow promoting tourism in the emirate of Ajman in a number of Chinese cities.
During a meeting with members of ATDD’s representation committee, Sheikh Abdulaziz Bin Humaid highlighted the importance of opening and exploring new markets with the aim of achieving the target of five million visitors to Ajman annually by 2021, in accordance with Ajman Vision 2021 and ATDD’s strategic plan.
“Not all markets are the same, so that you have to adopted the proper promotional tool for each market,” Sheikh Abdulaziz Bin Humaid had said, highlighting the necessity to establish new contact channels with stakeholders in every market.
