Blood Donation Event Organised by Kempinski Hotel Ajman

Together with Sharjah Blood Transfusion & Research Center, Kempinski Hotel Ajman makes an initiative to save lives.

World Blood Donor Day is celebrated every year on 14 June in countries around the world. The event promotes awareness of the need for safe blood and to praise the voluntary, unpaid blood donors for their life-saving gifts. This day encourages all countries to highlight stories from people whose lives have been saved through blood donation, as a way of motivating regular blood donors to continue giving blood and encourage people in good health who have never given blood, particularly young people, to begin doing so.

In order to support World Blood Donor Day, to spread awareness and the importance of donating blood, a blood donation truck was brought to Kempinski Hotel Ajman so the staff members could voluntarily participate with the campaign. “We are encouraging people to donate blood because even one pint of blood could possibly save three people lives. Throughout the four hours of the campaign, more than 45 team members participated on giving the gift of life – donating blood,” said Mr. Kai Schukowski, the hotel manager at Kempinski Hotel Ajman.
