Celebrate Service returned for its sixth year as a way to recognize the hard work and dedication of the more than 350,000 IHG corporate and franchise employees around the globe. Holiday Inn Dubai – Al Barsha sparkled with zest as it observed the ‘Celebrate Service Week’ from 7-11 June, 2015 to acknowledge the great efforts put in by colleagues.

The “Celebrate Service Week” is a worldwide initiative introduced by the Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) to encourage employees who served our valued guests endlessly all around the year to keep them satisfied and pleased.

The week was all about our team who work day in and day out to help us accomplish our Ambition to be #1 for guests, owners and colleagues.

“As the name goes, “Celebrate Service” is essentially to acknowledge and appreciate the gruelling work, group morale and impeccable service of our team members that makes Holiday Inn Dubai – Al Barsha the most sought-after name in the hospitality industry. It also gives an opportunity for all colleagues to unite as one family and build lasting relationships” said Mr Zamir Abbasi, Director of Human Resources & Training.

As in the past years, carefully planned events, filled with much fun and glee, were lined up. The Week began with ribbon cutting, red carpet welcome refreshments served by the Management Team and an interdepartmental double wicket cricket challenge.   Also, our colleagues all teamed up for “Best Decorated Department” competition creatively decorated their departments conforming to the CSW celebrations. Mr. Arnav Mane, our colleague from IHG was also present to grace the occasion.

Spread all over the week, attractions included photo sessions with Awards, Early Bird Breakfast for colleagues in the night, served by the management, Indoor and Outdoor Sports Festivals, tour of Ferrari World, Staff Get-Together /High Tea and our 7th Annual Staff Party” added Mr. Zamir.

The hotel team also posed for photographs by forming the symbol for “c” one core value that IHG works by, was beautifully created as a human formation,

The pleasant and inspiring ‘Celebrate Service Week’ culminated with a volleyball, football and basketball challenge at Al Barsha Park.
