Fun evening has insurance issue at heart

A fun “ladies only”  evening with laughs and comedic interaction provided by Dubai comedian Nitin Mirani was hosted by Leena Parwani, Founder and CEO of iCare Advisory and Chairperson at LP Insurance Brokers, at The Address Hotel, downtown Dubai.

The occasion, though light-hearted, also had a profound dimension as it offered ladies the opportunity to learn from Leena the benefits of securing individually tailored life insurance and savings plans.

The guests, who were mainly ex-pats, were astounded to learn that out of the 75% ex-pat population in the UAE, only 5% have any form of life insurance cover, making them financially vulnerable should their spouse pass away.

Leena Parwani commented: “People are shocked to hear this statistic. It may have to do with the hedonistic lifestyle that individuals tend to live here in the UAE that appears to anesthetize them from thinking seriously about these kind of life-changing issues.

“I want to educate women here about the dangers of not having an adequate plan, and my gathering provided a great platform in a friendly, welcoming environment.  My experience, since establishing my company in 2014, is that the woman of the family, once reliably informed, takes it upon herself to coax her husband into taking action to obtain a relevant policy that addresses the family’s needs, and in so doing provides vital piece of mind.”
