Jason Derulo concert at Global Village headlines Dubai’s entertainment calendar

Under its theme for Season 23, ‘c. This Way!’ and in keeping with its tradition of hosting the world’s biggest stars, Global Village has announced that international R&B sensation Jason Derulo will perform live on Friday, 14^th December 2018 on its Main Stage. Expected to take Dubai by storm, the concert will headline the entertainment scene of Dubai this year being the End of School Term concert and is expected to be attended by tens of thousands of fans. Jason Derulo is an American singer, songwriter, dancer and R&B artiste, rated among the best-selling, radio-dominating, pop and urban artists internationally.

In addition to crowd-favourite numbers, Jason will perform music that he has chosen especially for Dubai. He recently performed at MTV Europe Music Awards where he was also nominated for Best World Stage Performance and earlier he released a hit single, Goodbye, a joint-collaboration with David Guetta and featuring Nicki Minaj.

In the past five years, Jason Derulo has had a meteoric rise from writing songs for top artistes to selling over 50 million singles worldwide and racking up over two billion views on YouTube and 1 billion plays on Spotify. With 11 platinum singles and over 20 million social media fans and followers, he is a five-time BMI Pop Awards winner and Songwriter of the Year in 2011. He has also won three Teen Choice Awards.

Global Village concerts are held every Friday of Season 23 at 9 pm, after the fireworks show on the Main Stage. All concerts are included in the price of Global Village’s entry tickets for AED 15.

Global Village welcomes guests for its 23rd season, which lasts for 159 days, until 6th April 2019. It opens from 4:00 pm – 12:00 midnight Saturday to Wednesday and from 4:00 pm – 1:00 am on Thursday, Friday and public holidays. Global Village entry is dedicated to families and women only on Mondays.
