Warehouse421 to host special reading session for children in collaboration with early starters
Emirati author Maitha Al Khayat will lead a live reading and creative activities session for children on 27 April as part of the ‘Khayal’ series
Warehouse421, Abu Dhabi’s creative hub for regional artists, and Early Starters will continue its engaging ‘Khayal’ series this month with a special reading workshop for children on 27 April (15:00-17:00).
Hosted by well-known Emirati author and illustrator Maitha Al Khayat, who has published more than 160 children’s books, the session will include a live read and creative activities designed for children aged between 4 and 12. Inspired by her best-known stories including the award-winning My Own Special Way, young minds will be able to engage in featured activities such as camel puppet making, designing a burqa, and co-creating a doodle mural to celebrate the Year of Tolerance. A selection of the author’s books will also be available for sale and signing.
The “Khayal” series in collaboration with Early Starters is a monthly children’s series which brings books to life in imaginative ways.
