Medley-Makers: The Shillong Chamber Choir Live in Dubai

Shillong Chamber Choir (SCC), the dashing, dynamic and young music band is all set to mesmerize Dubai at their upcoming live concert at Dubai Opera on Friday, February 21, 2020. Presenting the best of western classical opera singing fused with a liberal dose of Indian music and Shillong linguistic, Shillong Chamber Choir is a brilliant band that has held the audience spellbound with their exuberance and delightful repertoire of musical medleys for last 17 years.  

For the 25 members of the Shillong Chamber Choir, the journey has been all about the music. Their music can be best defined as eclectic, youthful, and crossover; their repertoire includes works of western classical greats like Handel, Bach, Gershwin, and Mozart, besides popular Bollywood hits. The choir leaves the audience completely enchanted with their crossover melodies.

At the 120 minutes concert, audiences can look forward to fresh renditions by the SCC of medleys of “Mera Naam Chin Chin Chu“, “Eena Meena Deeka” and “I Got Rhythm“; “Lag Ja Gale” with the Godfather theme; “HummaHumma” with a popular western funk tune and many more.

The show is brought to Dubai by Teamwork Arts, “Our endeavour is to bring the best of performing arts ranging from concerts, theatre, musicals to specially curated events to Dubai and for 2020 we are starting with ‘The Shillong Chamber Choir’ at the Dubai Opera.
