Sayad Ibrahimli, Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah Cluster Director of Marketing and PR said, “Many do not know the fascinating story behind Waldorf Astoria, whether it relates to the brand’s foundation over a century ago or more recently, with the opening of this marvelous property. We wanted to share bite-sized pieces of this with our guests and hope this innovative virtual tour will enhance their experience with us”.
Once the tour has finished, guests will be able to enjoy one of the finest afternoon teas in the iconic Peacock Alley. The spread will include a selection of seasonal sandwiches, light and fluffy scones with cream and jam as well as delectable patisseries.
Afternoon Tea, a quintessentially British tradition dating back to 1840, has enjoyed global popularity ever since. Pay homage to this tradition and its legacy by indulging in a wonderful selection of sweet and savoury treats, that were showcased during the opening of the first Waldorf Astoria hotels, as they are now.
