LG redefines the role of home screens with the new LG MAGNIT residential display
New 136-inch 4K Display Puts the ‘Theater’ in Home Theater
LG Electronics (LG) has announced the launch of the new LG MAGNIT in the UAE, a massive 136-inch 4K display from the LED Signage lineup that brings a theatre-like experience to the living room.
The new LG MAGNIT keeps immersive display as a key focus, especially with its overwhelming visuals delivered by the LG Micro LED Technology. This brings in 24 million self-emissive LEDs, that create stunning colors and deep contrast. LG has also replaced traditional RGB packaging with a full black coating, thereby enhancing color vividness and details, for a more immersive experience overall. The display is also proven to emit lower levels of blue light, thereby reducing visual fatigue.
At the heart of this new display sits LG’s a9 AI Processor, which is tailored to fit the ambiance and layout of the room, to ensure the perfect viewing experience. Using the power of AI, the display analyzes the type of content and adapts to deliver the right settings suited for the genre. It is further capable of recognizing and enhancing faces while also upscaling on-screen text to make them sharper and clearer to read. The on-board AI also uses dedicated sensors on the display to measure surrounding light to adjust tone mapping for the right brightness levels. This is further complemented by the processer, which will control color purity and uniformity for more vivid colors.
The LG MAGNIT is not short of entertainment inputs, with compatibility for both Miracast and AirPlay 2, enabling easy content sharing from personal devices. The massive 136-inch display also gives direct access to popular streaming apps, supported by the LG Smart TV webOS 6.0 platform.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Yongjoon Park, B2B President of LG Electronics Middle East & Africa Region, said “With the launch of every new product, our goal is to further enhance our customer’s experience. With the new LG MAGNIT and its massive 136-inch display, we bring to our customers’ homes an audio-visual experience on par with modern theaters. We believe our displays are for far more than just displaying content, but also for creating a visual experience, which is what the new LG MAGNIT represents.”
