Dubai Parks™ and Resorts kickstarts second edition of Duathlon series

• The event returns to the destination for a second time and stands as the inaugural race in the series of four

Calling all fitness enthusiasts! Dubai Parks™ and Resorts, the Middle East’s largest theme park destination, is excited to announce the kick-off of the second edition of Duathlon series on Saturday, 21 October with the inaugural race in a series of four.

In its first edition, launched in October 2022, the Duathlon series drew over 250 participants of varying fitness levels, ranging from ages eight to over 50. Welcoming all UAE residents, the event was put together by the joint efforts of Race ME and Dubai Sports Council, taking place ahead of the highly anticipated Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC).

The Duathlon event offers participants diverse categories such as Super Sprint, Sprint Distance, Standard Distance and Teams – each featuring different running and biking distances to cater to varying fitness levels. Starting at AED 175, the challenge is open to everybody from ages eight to over 50.

The challenge unfolds on the track around Dubai Parks™ and Resorts, commencing at RIVERLAND™ Dubai from 6AM to 9:30AM. Featuring picturesque views, participants will be taken on a scenic journey through RIVERLAND™ Dubai, passing through The French Village, Boardwalk, India Gate, and The Peninsula, offering awe-inspiring locations throughout the course.

To conclude the event, the prize-winning ceremony will be held at Chickadees restaurant within RIVERLAND™ Dubai, with all participants receiving a finishers medal and a limited-edition t-shirt. Those who want to fuel up after the challenging race can indulge in a rewarding breakfast at Chickadees. Additionally, race participants will enjoy complimentary parking access within Dubai Parks™ and Resorts.

Before the race, participants can enhance their pre-race experience by visiting Baker’s Corner, which offers a delightful selection of croissants, muffins and coffee and a variety of other nourishing options to replenish energy levels.
