FOCP and Zulekha Hospital sign landmark partnership, paving the way for enhanced and affordable cancer care access in the UAE
In a notable collaboration, the Sharjah-based civil society, Friends Of Cancer Patients (FOCP), and Zulekha Hospital have formalised a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing healthcare accessibility for FOCP’s beneficiary patients. This strategic partnership seeks to streamline and optimise the medical journey of these patients, ensuring they receive top-tier medical treatments with substantial financial relief at Zulekha Hospital branches in Sharjah and Dubai.
To solidify support for cancer patients assisted by FOCP, the MoU outlines fixed rates for services under the agreement for three years from the signing date. This partnership extends discount on a comprehensive range of services as well, including consultation and outpatient services, laboratory and radiology services, physiotherapy, dental procedures, MRI, CT scans, and Telemedicine services.
In alignment with the MoU, Zulekha Hospital is committed to providing discounts on chemotherapy administration, encompassing doctor consultations and essential medical examinations. As an innovative initiative, the hospital introduces a complimentary second medical opinion service, empowering patients to confirm their diagnoses.
Al Mulla emphasised the profound significance of the MoU in advancing specialised healthcare for those facing the formidable challenge of cancer, emphasising the need for ongoing and meticulous care. She stated, “This partnership serves as an unyielding testament to our unwavering commitment to delivering unparalleled medical services and indispensable support for cancer patients. It echoes our strategic vision to construct a robust, healthy, and integrated community, ensuring everyone receives the indispensable care they deserve.”
Appreciating the efforts of FOCP in helping patients, Zulekha Healthcare Group’s Co-Chairperson Zanubia Shams said, “We have known and applaud the exemplary efforts of the team in extending financial and mental support to cancer patients. We wish to be able to provide easily accessible medical care to every individual in need irrespective of their backgrounds. Hence we have built our healthcare facilities to serve one and all. This collaboration further strengthens our long-standing relationship with the society in achieving our common objective of helping patients in their most critical phase of life.”
