MoHAP hosts panel discussion on Nursing future at Arab Health 2024

The Ministry of Health and Prevention has organized a panel discussion titled “Nursing… Ambitious Future insights” on the sidelines of its participation in Arab Health 2024 currently taking place at Dubai World Trade Centre.

Attended by H.E Dr. Amin Hussain Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary for the Health Regulation Sector, and Dr. Sumaya Mohammed Al Balushi, Head of the National Committee for Nursing and Midwifery Affairs, the session was moderated by Wedad Bu Humaid, Director of the Government Communications Department, MoHAP, Head of the Media Committee for Nursing and Midwifery.

The panel provided a stage for nurses Ibrahim Al Shehhi, Alia Darwish Al-Haddad, and Reem Sultan Salem to share their inspirational stories and experiences to the attendees at MoHAP platform. Their discussions emphasized the crucial role that proficient national healthcare professionals play in ensuring the long-term sustainability of the UAE’s health sector.

Furthermore, they highlighted that the healthcare sector’s future job requirements extend beyond mere technical and scientific knowledge, necessitating a broader humanitarian vision and a staunch dedication to ethical values.

They reiterated their belief in these principles as foundational to the comprehensive role of frontline healthcare workers, who stand as the primary defense against diseases, responding with a sense of humanitarian, professional, and national duty.
