Holiday Inn Dubai – Al Barsha is proud to announce that Mrs.. Roxana Jaffer, the CEO of Holiday Inn Dubai in Al Barsha and Director of Sovereign Hotels (BVI) Ltd, has been honoured recently with not one but two  coveted leadership awards in India and now in the UAE: “Global Inspirational Leadership Awards 2015″ and “Best Best Woman in Hospitality UAE Award”

World Women’s Leadership Congress (WWLC) hosted its annual Women Leadership Awards to identify and celebrate  outstanding leadership and achievements demonstrated by Women leaders  that are reflected through distinct innovations and initiatives, brought in by them in private and public sectors and which help  to make a difference to society as stated: “Outstanding Women Professional Leaders who have the vision, flair, acumen and professionalism to demonstrate excellent leadership and managing skills in an organization, making changes and achieving results”.

Mrs. Jaffer with other ladies from countries like Australia, Canada, Bangladesh, Kenya, Malaysia, UAE USA etc  were presented “Global Inspirational Leadership Award, 2015 ”  for Outstanding Leadership at the “Women Leadership Achievement Awards 2015″ in a glittering event at the Taj Lands End, Mumbai, on February 14, 2015.

Selection occurred through a rigorous process decided by an eminent international panel of jury on broad parameters of eligibility of Leadership, Ethics, Interpersonal Skills, Charisma, Being a Visionary, A Change-Agent and with Business Acumen.

Further on  February 25, 2015,  “Women Leaders in UAE, Awards”  in association with HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan Al Nahyan  honoured Mrs. Jaffer with the “Best ,Best Woman in Hospitality UAE”

In her acceptance speech, Mrs. Jaffer said, “It is a deep honour to be considered worthy for this special recognition and I would like to acknowledge learning received from sacrifices made by my mum and my grandmother as they worked in making a difference in the life of so many under privileged people”

“It is humbling to know that as a leader, standing in for what’s right and displaying courage to uphold my convictions, that I should be nominated.” She gave credit to her team for the achievement and said that she is overwhelmed for being accoladed for being a guide and role-model to her followers.

Under her leadership, the Holiday Inn Dubai – Al Barsha has become a recognised partner of the United Nations World Food Programme. In furthering their global mandate, Jaffer has played an incredible role in raising funds to feed over 200,000 hungry children in the world. She has also founded the NGO “Advent for Building Human Capital (abc)” which has been doing phenomenal work in Pakistan, India and the UAE, helping discerning individuals to rise to a higher level.

Jaffer has also touched hearts through the hotel’s “Loves You Campaign.” Since its inception, the hotel staff  have successfully held various awareness and fund-raising drives in their own small way, not only to build a civil society in the UAE but also to help the needy in other parts of the world. Some of the most incredible works include the Valentine’s “Tea Party” for Children with special needs, making major contribution in the 2010 Pakistan Flood Relief programme, and hosting Iftar for underprivileged and orphaned children.
