The Authority for Accredited Valuers (Taqeem) participates in AlSharqia Exhibition for real-estate, housing and constructional development(Restatex Al-Sharqiya 2015), which is held in Alzahran International Center for Exhibitions and Conferences,under the patronage of His Royal Highness prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of Eastern Province, during the period between 26thand 29th October. The exhibition is organized by the commercial and industrial chamber in the province.
The Authority is seeking -through its own pavilion at the exhibition-to identify itselfand its mainobjectives, whichaims to achieve them,through number of meetings and participating in exhibitionworkshops, along with pamphlets and brochures that will be distributed to visitors. Authority will also provide a detailed explanation about the importance of certified real-estate valuation, and its role in maintaining rights of the sectorworkers and their investments, with regard to the fact thatvaluationis one of the most important elements of maintenance the public money assets. As well as definition of what “the Authority”hasaccomplished in the last period to establish itsprinciples and goals in the community.
The participation of theAuthority in the exhibition is an important step in order to manifest its servicesthatare provided to the dealers in real-estate sector. It worth mentioning that the Authority was established to raise the profession of ”real-estate valuation” in the kingdom,and develop it by scientificmethods,in order to maintain savings and assets of public money. The Law of Accredited Valuers was issued pursuant to Royal Decree no. (m/43), dated 30/5/2012 (09/07/1433H).
The Authority puts a number of objectives and tasks, and spares no efforts to achieve them. The most important of which are; the preparation, development and adoption of unifiedstandards of all valuationbranches, standards for each branch, develop the necessary general rules for the exam to get a fellowship certificate for each valuation branch, regulation and supervision of continuing professional education courses to develop the Valuersperformers level and participating inlocal and international committees related to the valuation profession. As well as development of appropriate procedures for process supervision, to make sure that the authorizedValuer applying the valuation criteria.
The Authority for Accredited Valuers considers the valuation profession a promising profession, which will contribute in creating many special career opportunities. The Authority aims at developing the valuation profession to the level of a prestigious profession such as medicine, engineering…etc.by setting the necessary standards for the valuation of real estate, economic entities, equipment, and movablepropertyand so on. And raising the level of valuation employees professionally, technically and morally. Also qualifying young cadres by specialized educational programs, and adopting qualified Valuers to practice the profession in all valuation branches.
