The Khalifa University of Science and Technology today announced that the NAJAH Education and Training Fair will feature sneak peaks of its Wind Tunnel Lab and Marine Robotics Lab, both of which will be launched early next year to support critical UAE sectors including aerospace and aviation. One of the region’s largest events bringing together leading universities, training institutes and companies looking to recruit UAE National students, the 11th edition of NAJAH will be held from 25-27 October at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center.
The Khalifa University of Science and Technology’s stand (#E10, in Hall 08) will highlight its academic programs and activities to students, parents and visitors looking for undergraduate and postgraduate learning opportunities. Earlier this year, the Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research (KUSTAR), the Masdar Institute of Science and Technology, and the Petroleum Institute, merged to create the Khalifa University of Science and Technology. The unified university, which offers 12 undergraduate, 22 Master’s level (21 MSc and 1 MA), and seven PhD programs, aims to support the country’s knowledge economy transformation across targeted academic and research activities.

Students visiting NAJAH will have the opportunity to see how our university can enable their academic growth and development from their undergraduate studies, all the way through to their PhD in advanced science and engineering disciplines.”
Visitors to the Khalifa University of Science and Technology’s stand will learn about the university’s research centers, which focus on key areas including advanced materials and manufacturing, robotics, artificial intelligence and data science, information and communication technologies, and security, as well as water and environment, desalination, and clean energy storage. These centers are equipped to train the University’s students in key disciplines, so they can play a role in the country’s prosperous knowledge economy. The exhibition will also include information about two new research facilities – the Wind Tunnel Lab and the Marine Robotics Lab – which are to be launched early next year in support of research for aviation, aerospace, marine exploration, oil and gas, and critical other sectors.
Moreover, information will be offered about scholarships for those joining the Future Teachers Program, a collaborative initiative with the UAE Ministry of Education. The scholarship is available to UAE Nationals and Arabic-speaking students of the University’s Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and Statistics, in addition to information about and the Bachelor of Science in Chemistry program that helps the student to get excellent job opportunities.
A team of staff and students will also provide information on the University’s three campuses, various academic and research facilities, and student facilities, including various clubs and sports and health centers.
The Khalifa University of Science and Technology recently achieved the highest ranking for a UAE university according the World University Rankings, compiled annually by the prestigious Times Higher Education. It achieved the 301-350 bracket of the list of 1,102 universities from 77 countries. In the latest rankings announced recently by the same institution, the university has confirmed its position as top university in the country and has achieved the highest university ranking in the UAE in the subject of engineering and technology, placing among the top 250 out of 500 engineering and technology universities surveyed worldwide.
With the addition of a new 135,000-square meter building, the University now boasts a total of 150 laboratories and 123 classrooms. About 3,500 students study across its Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral programs, including 3,000 undergraduate and 500 graduate students from over 40 countries around the world.
